I have to say that I am going through one of the most tragic times of my life. Due to legal reasons and the saftey of my children I cannot get into the details. It was something so tragic, not to me but my children, that has made us move out of our house, and have the kids change schools. For me it was something that I thought would never happen and to help me through this I have my Wife, Extrended Family, but the most important I believe are my best friends. Damon, Jason, Chris, and Greg are by far the most reliable and trusted members of what a man would call his inner circle. When tragedy strikes they drop everything to help. With out hesitation and complete understanding they put aside their own tragedies to help one inside the circle deal in any way shape or form. For this a friend in the inner circle can only be greatful and recipicate when the need should arise for them. Here is to the inner circle that keeps us going and I hope for all peoples sake that they have an inner circle that they can rely on. A greatful father and friend.

When a boy becomes a Man

I had a proud Father moment while I was sailing with my son on the Chesapeak Bay. As the day started we had some OK wind and were chugging along out to Thomas Point Light at about 3 to 4 knots. As the Sun rose highger in the sky the winds become lower and lower to the point where we we mayby going one to two knots. Proud moment number one is that I did not hear one complaint out of my son. He just asked if he could work the ropes or if he cold get somthing to eat. For a 7 year old to be going 1-2 knots and not be board was really cool.

By the time that we got out to Thomas point light I was board and we decided that we were going to motor back in. Here comes my son and he asks if he can helm the boat. At first I am a little hesitant because that last time we were on the boat he had some issues keeping the boat on line. The difference was that we had the sails up last time and he was not as big. This time the Sails were down and the motor was running. So I told him "here is the tiller and you want to keep the boat on a heading of 240 degrees" My friend and I watched him for about 5 - 10 min. and he did not waver. I was Shocked.

He would not take his eyes off of the Compass which was a really neat thing to watch. You could tell that he just wanted to get this right. In order to build up his confidence a little more my friend sugessted that we go to the Bow of the boat. A little hesitant again but I decided to go ahead up to the Bow of the Boat. From Thomas Point light to the entrace of the river you have to hit a eading of 240 degrees. We sat on the Bow of the Boat for about 30 min. and my son did not waver. He has started the path to becoming a strong and steady helmsman. I COULD NOT BE PROUDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He stuck it. we were within 100 feet of the Bouy.

My little boy is growing up.

The is something to be said about taking off a little early from work on the first warm day of the year. As I left work with all of my windows down in the car and the radio blaring "The Fabulous Thunderbirds" I just could not stop thinking that it just does not get any better than this. Knowing that I am leaving the Stress behind and that the next day I will be sailing with my Friends and son on anther warm day just makes things nice. Just thought I would share a nice moment in all of the fucked up things that happen in our world.

My First Blog

What to write about is the question. Since the title of this blog is "There is Never Enough Time in the Day" I should most likley talk about that. For those of you that do not know I am Married with Three Children and anybody with Children know that There is never enough time in the day. For instance I created this blog a few month ago and this will be my first post. Why is that!!

Well in order to pay for the Kids I end up working 60 to 70 days a week and when I get home I need to give my wife a break from the Kids as she also works from home. As I am typing this my son is currently ........ i will have to finish this later as a diper needs to be changed.
